Santan Saptami vrat is observed every year on the seventh day (Saptami) of the Shukla Paksha (waxing phase) in the month of Bhadrapada (August–September). संतान सप्तमी व्रत हर साल भाद्रपद माह (अगस्त–सितंबर) के शुक्ल पक्ष की सप्तमी तिथि को रखा जाता है। यह व्रत माता-पिता द्वारा, चाहे वे किसी भी लिंग के हों, अपने बच्चों के अच्छे स्वास्थ्य, लंबी आयु और समग्र कल्याण की कामना के लिए किया जाता है। इस दिन भक्तजन संतति लक्ष्मी देवी या षष्ठी माता के दिव्य स्वरूप की पूजा करते हैं, जो संतान को स्वस्थ, गुणवान और सुखी बनाने का आशीर्वाद देती हैं। पौराणिक कथाओं के अनुसार, देवी बच्चों को बीमारियों से बचाती हैं और उनके विकास व समृद्धि को सुनिश्चित करती हैं।
